A message from the editors:
Welcome to our premiere issue of Electric Spec! We invite you to click on the links below and discover a variety of shockingly good short stories in the speculative fiction genre. If you enjoy humor, check out the parody, "Stanley Kubrick Channels Cheech & Chong." Watching the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey will never be the same again. And, don't miss the urban fantasy "Raising Archie," sure to make even the most stone-faced gargoyle smile.
If you're in a darker mood, beware of the prescription of "Doctor Sam", or read "Changing the Blueprint," a shivery, sci-fi "tail." "The Adventure of the Counter-Culture Virus," a science fiction-mystery-thriller, pays homage to the great British detective at 221B Baker Street.
Finally, "Remembering the River Woman" is a haunting and poetic flash fantasy that will stay with you long after you've finished reading.
        Welcome and enjoy!
