Letter from the Editors
Dear Reader,
We've said it before: fiction has the power to entertain, teach, and lift us up. Huzzah, for fiction! We, Electric Spec Editors, are proud to help create a community of authors and readers who collaborate together. This issue's collaboration includes:
- Peace Between the Tribes by Gustavo Bondoni -- Life aboard a derelict starship is full of hardship until someone learns what the ship's purpose really is.
- The Tale of the Spoon and her Farm Boy by Jamie Lackey -- In a tale as old as time, a witch unjustly turns a woman into a spoon, and the spoon seeks vengeance.
- Hollywood Moon by Calie Voorhis -- For one private eye in 1939 Los Angeles, no case is too tough...
- The #1 Punk Band in Heaven by Nathaniel Forsythe -- Sod the harps. Bring the noise. Heaven needs some punk to shake things up.
- Vedma Returning by Duncan Shepard -- In a war that seems endless, a fighter pilot team and their faithful biplane embark on their strangest mission.
In our Editor's Corner, we have Hildegard's Children a new story from Mary Jo Rabe, and Lesley L. Smith reflects on twenty years of Electric Spec.
Finally, we're very happy to feature repeat artist Brian Malachy Quinn, who created our cover image, "The Altar of Creation."
Thanks for reading,
Lesley, Grayson, Candi, and the Electric Spec Team
